Daniel Wretström : ウィキペディア英語版 | Daniel Wretström Daniel Wretström (October 15, 1983-December 9, 2000) was a Swedish ultra-nationalist murdered in Salem, Sweden. He played in the white power rock band Vit Legion (White Legion).〔(Expo: Mordet, marschen, martyrskapet )〕 Following a conflict at a party in an apartment, Wretström was at a bus station close to a local youth center.〔 A fight ensued in which he was assaulted by a group of about 15 immigrant youths. After the initial assault, one of his assailants hit Wretström over the head with a 1.5 meter-long plank, which knocked him unconscious. An older relative of one of his assailants then arrived on the scene with a knife, and Wretström was stabbed in the back until the blade of the knife broke off, and then his throat was cut with the broken blade. Wretström's murder inspired Swedish neo-Nazis, ultra-nationalists and other far-right activists to organize an annual demonstration known as the Salem March〔(The Local - Sweden deports German skinheads )〕〔(The White Power scene - Swedish Security Service )〕〔(Antisemitism And Racism )〕 Those activists consider Wretström to be a martyr to their cause. The neo-Nazi group Blood and Honour has called him "the Horst Wessel of our generation".〔(Expo: Mordet, marschen, martyrskapet ), Blood and Honour wrote "Here is the Horst Wessel of our generation – the figurehead of a new movement – to whom we each owe a blood debt to unite. This morning Europe weeps for a fallen hero. Mark this day – for he shall be avenged. Though his flash has fallen – his spirit lives on."〕 == Footnotes ==
